»It’s a Book« is an independent publishing fair taking place on 19th of March 2016. The fair will be hosted at the Academy of Fine Arts, Leipzig, simultaneously taking place with the official Leipzig Book Fair held at the Leipzig Messe.
Practitioners from the international independent publishing scene look forward to meeting with visitors interested in exchanging books and ideas.
Originally initiated by Leipzig based publishing house Spector Books in 2010, the organization and management of the fair was handed over to the students from the graphic design department of the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig three years ago. »It’s a Book« showcases 40 publishing houses and around 20 student projects.
