Ultralab™ is a group of artists created in Paris in August 2000 by P. Béjean, F. Bortolotti™, Didier Lechenne and P. N. Ledoux. Imagined to foster an original approach to group work, to develop according to projects a principle of regular invitations, and to seek an unprecedented form of artistic, economic and political autonomy, Ultralab™ is a hybrid entity that has chosen to work at the frontiers of art, science and communication.

For the past four years, the group has been developing above all forward-looking devices linked to new technologies (particularly virtual universes), through visual fictions that explore the potentials of a multiform plastic language (situations, devices, installations, films, drawings, photographs, games, texts, synthesized images, computer programs, websites...).

With this work, Ultralab™, in the tradition of Mallarmé and following Broodthaers, once again raises the question of the image.
