JCT 1 a MeTrica n’ABOOlira is modeled after Stéphane Mallarmé’s "Un coup de dès jamais n'abolira le hazard" in the edition Gallimard published posthumously in 1914. All the words overprinted by colored bars, in a way that corresponds directly to the typographic layout used by Mallarmé to articulate the text. The strips are arranged horizontally, of different width and length and of orange and blue color. The lines which were designated by Mallarmé to be set in italics, are overprinted by parallelograms.

Cover with title "JCT 1" in black on an orange background. The introductory pages feature a detoured comic book followed by the title page printed in black and orange.

Appeared as the first issue of the JCT series and went almost unnoticed, in great contrast to Broodthaers Coup, even though it features striking similarities and preceded it.
