strassenmoebel (literal translation is street furniture, but strassenmoebel is also a bureaucratic term for sculpture in public space, often used derogative) is a series of objets perdu by Michalis Pichler, realised on occasion of a collaborative clandestine attempt to contest Skulpturen Projekte Muenster in 2007.
Mounted every ten years and previously hosted in 1977, 1987, and 1997, this large international exhibition invites artists from all over the world to create public Art in the city of Münster. One of the (official) artists Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, presented a theme park composed of 1:4-scale replicas of 36 selected sculptures from past Skulptur Projekte exhibitions. Every object is a precise reproduction of the original and is set in relation to the others.
Eleven artists from different cities, working primarily in the urban space without permission, traveled to Münster to create illegal public art within the context of the Sculpture Project Münster exhibition. In addition, each of the 11 artists installed a 1:4 model of their illegal intervention(s) within the Dominique Gonzales-Forester theme park. (In total about 36 new models were installed, eventually half of them realised)

The New York Times Flag Profile
The New York Times Flag Profile is a selfpublished newspaper printed in rotation offset in an edition of 1000.
All 144 of the American flags from the New York Times issued on the first anniversary of September 11 have been cut out and pasted into a newspaper with everything else left blank.
For one day (on the second anniversary of 9-11, in 2003) the New York Times Flag Profile was offered (for the price of $1) along with the real daily papers at local groceries and Newspaper stores in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
