It's a newspaper about newspapers. The content reveals an artist's eye view of newspapers alongside articles about their artwork. I wanted to make a paper that mirrored a newspaper in style and in content but also dissected what a newspaper is. (Eleanor Brown, editor)

basso magazin #5 out of place
Basso is a zine that cleverly mixes sex and art with a bit of politics thrown in. It doesn’t have consumer friendly periodical standards such as page numbers or editorial introductions but can be seen as a montage of ideas in text and image, put together to an intuitive flow. Basso devotes each issue to a particular concept; Issue 5's is "Out of Place," which is also the title of a fold-out color poster by Yusuf Etiman. Other contributors include Adrian Hermanides, Baltazar Castor, Benjamin Alexander Huseby, Christophe Chemin, Daniel Wang, Dennis Kuhlow, Elmar Vestner, Gerry Bibby, Jo Nagel, Mario Caroli, Michalis Pichler, Simon Pühler, Stuart Sandford, and Wolfgang Tillmans, among others.
